Angel Charity for Children Completes Historic $1 Million Grant
Angel Charity for Children concluded one of its most successful fundraising campaigns at the 42nd Angel Ball, A Starry Night: Where Dreams Unfold Into Masterpieces. Surrounded by a room filled with dedicated donors, supporters, and volunteers, Angel Charity announced its 2024 fundraising total of $1,313,100.
“This fundraising year is a testament to the incredible generosity and commitment of our Angel family,” said Kellie Terhune Neely, Angel Charity’s 2024 General Chair. “Every dollar raised reflects the heart of our mission—to improve the lives of children in our community.”
A cornerstone of this year’s fundraising is a historic $1 million commitment to the renovation of a new education center for Children’s Museum Tucson, the single largest grant to one organization. This project will expand access for up to an additional 40,000 children in its inaugural year.” Additionally, Angel Charity awarded grants to six Opportunity Grant recipients, totaling $313,100, including:
- Arizona Children’s Association: $75,000
- Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation: $32,500
- Junior League of Tucson: $67,600
- TMC Foundation: $65,000
- Tucson Community Tennis Program: $52,000
- Wheel Fun: $21,000
Since its founding, Angel Charity for Children has granted over $33 million, benefiting 144 nonprofit projects that enrich the lives of children in Pima County. This year’s achievement continues that legacy, made possible by the passion and dedication of its supporters.
