Winner of 30th Annual Music & Sound Awards Best Customer Service for the Multi-Store Division.
Instrumental Music Center (IMC), a Tucson-owned and operated musical instrument retail store, was honored as the winner of Best Customer Service at the 2016 NAMM show.
NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) is an international organization of music professionals. The winter NAMM show attracted an estimated 100,000 attendees in January 2016. For the last 30 years, Music and Sound Retailer magazine has recognized the best retailers in the industry. This year, Instrumental Music Center was nominated for Best Customer Service as well as Dealer of the Year.
On January 21st, 2016, Instrumental Music Center was crowned the winner of Best Customer Service for the Multi-Store Dealer Division. To win this multi-store category, IMC competed directly against the largest and most famous music chains in the country.
“We were so excited to be recognized for Best Customer Service!” said Leslie Faltin, owner of Instrumental Music Center. “Of all the things to be recognized for, we think this is the coolest! We work with our staff extensively to provide our customers with the best possible experience. We want people to be happy with what they buy at IMC, so we have programs to insure that customers aren’t pressured into the sale, have access to amazing products and that the prices are in-line with on-line stores. These sorts of approaches give customers the confidence to support a local music store.”
In addition to this award, Leslie Faltin, the co-owner of IMC was selected as one of 6 panelists on the prestigious Best of NAMM panel. Leslie shared the stage with 5 other industry professionals in selecting the very best new products presented at the trade show. She primarily focused on Band and Orchestra products, choosing the Yamaha YEV electric violin as Best in Show.
