Pima County Economic Development Team Visits Belden’s New Fiber Tech Center
Pima County Economic Development, Sun Corridor Inc., and City of Tucson Economic Initiatives visited and toured Belden’s new 300,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Fiber Technology Center in Tucson on Nov. 26.
Belden’s facility serves as a multifunctional hub where Belden’s fiber experts lead optical fiber cable and connectivity innovation, research and development. It also supports warehousing, distribution, administration and manufacturing as the company continues to grow its optical fiber capabilities.
The economic development partners met with Belden executives and discussed Belden’s new footprint in the region, as well as their plans to expand and increase their presence in Pima County and Tucson.
Belden opened the facility in May and plans significant expansion in the future, which will be facilitated by the different economic development departments and organizations. We are looking forward to Belden’s continued operation and expansion here in Pima County and Tucson.
