JW Marriott Starr Pass Celebrates 20 Years

Considered one of Tucson’s premier destination resorts, JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa celebrates its 20th Anniversary on Feb. 27 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Festivities will include a luncheon, mariachis, a commemorative 20th anniversary tequila toast and Native American blessing, and a ceremonial cutting of the anniversary cake by Tucson Mayor Regina Romero.

Starr Pass was the first resort in 18 years to open in Tucson, when it debuted in January 2005. Since its inception, the resort has donated $584,074 in cash donations to the local community and $3,232,658 in in-kind donations. 

As a brand, Marriott encourages its associates to volunteer in the community.  Over the years, there have been 2,119 Starr Pass associates who have logged more than 5,802 volunteer hours and participated in 3,990 community activities or events.
