Tucson Metro Chamber Copper Cactus Awards Now Accepting Nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for the Tucson Metro Chamber Copper Cactus Awards presented by Wells Fargo. Nomination deadline is Sunday, May 25. To nominate a Southern Arizona small business or charitable non-profit business visit tucsonchamber.org/coppercactus.
The Tucson Metro Chamber Copper Cactus Awards presented by Wells Fargo celebrate the accomplishments and innovation of Southern Arizona’s small businesses in categories such as work environment, growth, community stewardship, innovation and leadership.
“It is a privilege for the Tucson Metro Chamber to honor Southern Arizona’s small businesses for their success, innovation and hard work. Small businesses are the backbone of our community and deserve to be recognized for the significant role they play in our economy” said Michael Varney, Tucson Metro Chamber president and CEO.
The Tucson Metro Chamber Copper Cactus Awards will be held on Friday, October 24 at Casino Del Sol Resort. In addition to Wells Fargo, the Copper Cactus Awards are supported by co-sponsors Casino Del Sol Resort and Intuit.
Award categories:
· Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Best Place to Work honors businesses that encourage and support professional growth, education and development for employees
· CopperPoint Small Business Leader of the Year honors exceptional leadership by a manager or owner who is active in the day-to-day activities of his or her company
· Cox Business Growth honors small businesses that successfully tackle marketplace challenges
· Nextrio Innovation through Technology honors businesses that are technology-led and/or look to IT to solve problems and increase efficiency
· Tucson Electric Power Charitable Non-Profit Business honors outstanding charitable non-profits for their exceptional leadership, company culture, business growth and innovation
Nomination criteria:
· For-profit business
· More than two years in operation
· Locally owned and operated
· 250 or fewer employees
Charitable Non-Profit Business Award nomination criteria:
· 501 (c)(3) charitable non-profit business operating in Southern Arizona
· More than two years in operation
· Total revenue: $50,000 – $9,999,999
