Heirloom Farmers Markets and Edible Baja Arizona are proud to present, "Viva La Local Food Festival: Celebrating Joyous Local Food!" The event will be held on Sunday, April 6th at Rillito Downs located at 4502 N. 1st Ave and will run from 9am-5pm. With over 80 Heirloom Farmers Market vendors, 25+ local restaurants, local breweries and wineries, Viva La Local Food Festival is the place to go for everything local food! Come early and get to know more than 80 of Southern Arizona's best vendors at the largest of the Heirloom Farmers Markets starting at 9am! You can shop and store your fresh purchases in our Veggie Valet while you visit your favorite local Southern Arizona restaurants, wineries and breweries. Starting at 11am, peruse the festival grounds sampling food and drink from over 25 of Baja Arizona's restaurants, including BOCA Tacos, Cashew Cow, Contigo Cocina Latina, Dantes Fire, Loews Ventana Canyon, Frankie’s South Philly Cheesesteaks, Gourmet Girls Gluten-Free Bakery, Mama’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Cue, Mother Hubbard’s Café, Pasco, Pastiche, Prep & Pastry, Primo, Proper, Rocco’s Little Chicago Pizza, The Twisted Tandoor, Zona 78, Diablo Burger, Foodie Fleet, Mexico in Season, and the JTED Culinary Arts students! Local breweries include Borderlands Brewing Company, Dragoon Brewing Company, Sentinel Peak Brewing Company, Ten-Fifty Five Brewing Company, Beast Brewing Company, and Barrio Brewing Company with wine from Charron Vineyards, Flying Leap Vineyards, Pillsbury Wine Company, Sierra Bonita Vineyards, Wilhelm Family Vineyards, and Sand-Reckoner Vineyards! Enjoy performances from several of the area's finest local musicians, including Sergio Mendoza Y La Orkesta, Naim Amor, Vox Urbana, Carlos Arzate, and The Pork Torta.
