United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona Partners with Tucson Young Professionals

United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Tucson Young Professionals that will enable the organizations to pursue shared goals of building a stronger, more equitable Tucson and Southern Arizona.  Both organizations will benefit through mutual networking, events, communications platforms, philanthropic efforts and more. 

Members of Tucson Young Professionals and United Way of Tucson’s young professionals’ group, Young Leaders United, will have cross membership opportunities within each group. Partnership activities will include a seat on United Way’s Public Policy committee, impact events and professional development learning sessions covering each entities mission from leadership to service and community convening. 

“We are pleased to have this quality group of dynamic business and community leaders join us in partnership,” said Tony Penn, president and CEO of United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona.  “The addition of Tucson Young Professionals provides a diverse, energized, and youthful perspective that will strengthen our collective work of building a thriving community.

“As our United Way celebrates their century of service in the Southern Arizona community, we are inspired to be joining with them in pursing our mutual goals,” said Zach Yentzer, executive director of Tucson Young Professionals. “Tucson Young Professionals is the largest network of professionals across industries in the state of Arizona, over 800-strong. TYP’s goal is to attract, retain and promote professionals 21-45 in the region, and provides members with opportunities to connect and grow professionally as well as advocate for a greater Tucson that is prosperous, inclusive, and innovative.
