TMA Reaches $1 Million in Naming Gifts
The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block is pleased to announce three new gifts in its fundraising efforts through naming opportunities of galleries and facilities.
TMA’s second largest gallery, the Arizona Gallery, will be named for longtime patrons and museum donors Frank and Jean Hamilton who made a $250,000 gift this week. The gallery, to be known as the Frank and Jean Hamilton Gallery, will feature the Museum’s Art of the American West collection.
“Having been one of the members of the original Board of the Western Art Patrons, I have a keen interest in art of the American west,” said Frank Hamilton, who currently serves as vice president of the Museum’s Board of Trustees. “Tucson has been very good to us and we believe in giving back to one of the most important assets in the community.”
In addition the Hamilton’s gift, Joyce Broan and the Contemporary Art Society have committed to a major gift of $100,000. In honor of their combined gift, TMA will name Gallery 2 the Contemporary Art Society/Joyce Broan Gallery.
Combined with a naming gift of $500,000 announced Feb. 22, and another gift committed but yet to be announced, the TMA is over $1 million in naming gifts, all of which support the Museum’s upcoming renovation and reinstall of its exhibits as well as funding an endowment for long-term financial stability.
“These gifts strengthen the Museum not only now, but for the future,” said TMA CEO Jeremy Mikolajczak. “The Tucson Museum of Art has always been an integral part of our community and the support we get from our donors and patrons will ensure it remains so for generations to come.”

The Museum is located at 140 N. Main Avenue in historic downtown Tucson at the crossroads of West Alameda Street and North Main Avenue. Parking is free in the Museum’s lot on West Washington Street.

Second SundAZe @ TMA: 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Free admission for Arizona and Sonora, Mexico residents every second Sunday of the month. Art-making activities and music. Fun for all ages.
