Gordley Group Gets Advertising Award for Quirky 2020 Holiday Card
Gordley Group’s 2020 holiday card, “Over It. 2020,” that features a fold-out game board mocking life in quarantine won an ADDY Award given out annually for outstanding creative work by the American Advertising Federation Tucson.
The game challenges players to navigate from 2020 to 2021 by moving tokens around a board filled with quarantine joys and misery.
“We wanted the card to have both levity and empathy,” said Jan Gordley, president of Gordley Group. “It reflects our shared experiences of being quarantined, both the challenges and some of the absurdities, in what was a difficult year for all of us.”
Gordley Group also earned a second ADDY Award for its “You Don’t Need To Choose” digital media campaign for JobPath, a Pima County-based workforce training and advocacy agency.
AAF Tucson’s American Advertising Awards honors advertising creative work produced in Southern Arizona. The winning entries are now eligible to compete in the District 12 level competition, which comprises AAF and Ad2 chapters in Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. District ADDY winners are then forwarded to AAF’s national competition.
For more than 30 years, Gordley Group has lived its motto of “helping those who help others” by planning and managing public outreach, marketing, crisis communications, public meetings and government briefings for purpose-driven clients and stakeholders across Arizona.
