Caterpillar Inc. Offers Unique Driving Experience

Caterpillar, Inc. the global mining and construction equipment company which opened a new commercial operations facility in Tucson in 2019, has announced a fun and educational way of supporting United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona with its “Caterpillar Cruise-In Tour.”  

This self-guided tour of the company’s world-class Cat machinery, which guests can take from the comfort of their own vehicles, will take place on August 28, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, at Caterpillar’s Tinaja Hills Demonstration and Learning Center at 5000 W. Caterpillar Trail in Green Valley. 

The 30-minute driving experience, on a 5-mile gravel road, will showcase many of the heavy-machines that have set industry standards, such as, 785 Mining Truck, D9 Dozer, 922 Wheel Loader, 6060 Hydraulic Mining Shovel, and more. While there is no cost for the tour, donations for United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona are strongly encouraged to support its local programs.
