Antsy Nancy is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a special “Five Years of Making Memories” Open House, inviting the Tucson community to commemorate its mission of creativity, connection and learning together.

Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of food, music, creative activities and special anniversary surprises. The indoor-outdoor celebration will showcase memorable moments from Antsy Nancy’s first five years while offering guests a taste of the fun, hands-on experiences the business is known for.

WHY:
Antsy Nancy grew from a period of tremendous personal and professional adversity. After earning her MBA in January 2020, founder Heidi Yribar unexpectedly lost her corporate position. Weeks later, the COVID-19 pandemic brought much of the world to a halt.
During that uncertain time, Yribar began working on home and garden projects with her aunt, Nancy Rutherford. Aunt Nancy arrived for every project with the supplies organized, the necessary tools ready and the knowledge to guide Yribar step by step. Those shared projects restored Yribar’s confidence and showed her the powerful connection between learning a new skill, creating something tangible and making memories with someone you love.
Inspired by those experiences, Yribar created Antsy Nancy and named the business for her endlessly creative and energetic aunt. Antsy Nancy opened in October 2021 with a mission to make cooking, baking, crafting and other creative experiences approachable for everyone by providing the expert instruction, tools, materials and thoughtful details needed for success.
Five years later, Antsy Nancy has welcomed children, adults, families, friends, private parties and corporate teams for engaging classes and celebrations designed to bring people together. Now, Antsy Nancy is ready to expand through franchising and is actively searching for the ideal candidate to open its first franchise location.
