United Way of Tucson & Southern Arizona Invites Community to 27th Annual Days of Caring
United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona invites individuals, families, friends, businesses, and community groups to come together for the 27th Annual Days of Caring, Arizona’s largest volunteer event. Registration is now open for volunteer projects supporting local nonprofits, schools, and neighborhoods throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona.
On Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17, the two-day initiative is expected to pair more than 115 local projects with thousands of caring volunteers to improve the Southern Arizona community. Last year, more than 1,100 volunteers turned out to complete 105 projects, both onsite and virtual, resulting in 5,050 volunteer hours with an estimated community project value of over $121,000. Additional volunteer opportunities will be available during a longer period from Oct. 1 through Nov. 15.
Days of Caring brings volunteers together for hands-on service projects that make a direct impact throughout Southern Arizona. Volunteers can choose from a wide range of projects designed to support local organizations and address needs throughout the community. From painting classrooms and planting gardens to assembling hygiene kits and cleaning public spaces, there are projects for a variety of interests, schedules, and abilities. Volunteers can participate on their own, with friends and family, or as part of a company or community team.

Every project is a chance to meet a community need, build new connections and be part of something bigger.”
The 27th Annual Days of Caring is made possible with support from Gold Sponsors Texas Instrumentsand Garmin, and Silver Sponsor Tucson Federal Credit Union. Their partnership helps United Way bring volunteers and local organizations together to complete projects that strengthen communities across Southern Arizona.
Volunteers are now able to register by visiting Days of Caring – United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona (unitedwaytucson.org) They will also be able to check out all the projects available.
