Dr. Bethany Bruzzi believes that good health begins with putting people first. The youngest female CMO at Banner, Bruzzi led through the COVID-19 pandemic. Her leadership style extends to caring for patients by “treating them as if they are family” and educating residents and students as a board-certified family medicine physician and assistant professor at the University of Arizona.
Bruzzi graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and began residency in Tucson in 2008. The lifelong learner also earned an MBA from Eller College of Management and received the prestigious Eller Way – Excellence Award.
Bruzzi has championed initiatives like “Connecting the Community with BOMBAS,” which provided food, clothing, and medical care to more than 250 people without permanent housing. She and her husband co-own WAGS, a pet grooming spa in northwest Tucson. Bruzzi was named a UA Women in Medicine Torchbearer in 2023.
